MJH served as lead legal counsel to the Maspex Group in the acquisition of Karpackie Wody Mineralne in Ukraine.
We are pleased to announce that the law firm MJH Moskwa, Jarmul, Haładyj & Partners served as counsel to the Maspex Group in the transaction involving the acquisition of a majority stake (80% of the shares) in the Ukrainian group Karpackie Wody Mineralne (Karpatski Mineralni Vody)—one of the leading producers of water, non-alcoholic beverages, and snacks on the Ukrainian market.
This is Maspex’s first major acquisition of a production asset in Ukraine and another step in implementing the Group’s growth strategy in Central and Eastern Europe. Karpackie Wody Mineralne owns well-known brands such as Karpacka Dżerelna, Sokowynka, and Gonzo, and operates its own production facility. This is one of the first M&A transactions of this scale in the Ukrainian food market carried out by a Polish entity.
As leading transaction counsel, we were responsible for the overall management and coordination of the project, ensuring the consistency of the work of all teams involved in both markets.
We carried out the project with the support of our colleagues at Doxa Capital and in cooperation with the law firm Kinstellar. On behalf of MJH, the project was led by partners Mateusz Iżowski and Paweł Moskwa, with support from Julia Jaskot.
This transaction marks yet another project we have completed in the Ukrainian market, reaffirming our expertise and experience in handling complex cross-border transactions in this part of Europe.
We would like to thank the Maspex Group for their trust in us and for appointing us as legal counsel for this strategic transaction, and we extend our gratitude to all the advisory teams for their excellent cooperation.
